Nonograms for teachers
Nonograms practise logic, counting and careful reasoning. They work as a warm-up on the board or as a printed worksheet.
Class mode for the projector
Class mode shows the puzzle full screen with large squares, thick black lines and bold clues, so it can be read from the back of the room. Press Class mode (full screen) under any puzzle, or open one of these:

Ideas for lessons
- Solve a 5×5 together: ask the class which squares are certain and why.
- Teach the overlap method with a single row, then let pairs finish a 10×10.
- Hand out a printed puzzle and keep the answer key page for yourself.
- Let students design a puzzle in the puzzle maker. The maker warns them if their picture needs guessing.
Questions from teachers
Do my students need accounts?
No. Nothing to sign up for. Progress is saved in each browser.
Are there ads?
No. nonogram.dev has no ads, and the teacher page and class mode will never have ads.
Can I print a class set?
Yes. Every puzzle has a PDF with an answer key on the second page, and there is one pack per size on the printable page.
Can students make their own puzzles?
Yes. In the puzzle maker they can draw or upload a picture, check that it has one logical solution, and share it with a link.
